Primary Purpose:
Maintain accurate records, process clients data, and support administrative functions to ensure efficient service delivery. Facilitate and manage the flow of information pertaining to student data and actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Alief ISD.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- High school graduate or GED
- Must have an Associate’s Degree or have a minimum of 48 semester hours of higher education coursework or pass a district test
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Bilingual preferred
- Advanced in basic office computer applications
- Ability to communicate and comprehend effectively, both orally and written
- Ability to understand detailed written and oral instructions
- Ability to meet established deadlines
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational and task management skills
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ advanced general office experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Program Management
- Utilize various software platforms such as MS Office to conduct general data entry.
- Assist with maintaining departmental data collection, student records and preparing reports required by the state, district, or department.
- Assist with processing SRQ’s (Student Residency Questionnaires) and transportation requests.
- Assist with preparing and maintaining all documentation for students within the McKinney Vento Program.
- Compile, sort, maintain, and file all reports, records, correspondence and other documents as required.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Enter and maintain MKV student data in the district’s Student Information System.
- Assist with inbound and outbound calls pertaining to McKinney Vento Students.
- Perform usual office routines and practices associated with a productive office, including, but not limited to typing correspondence and reports, maintaining accurate records, copying, and answering phones.
- Comply with established policies and procedures.
- Follow safety guidelines related to office operation.
- Perform work in a correct, neat, and safe manner.
- Work collaboratively and congenitally with other office personnel.
Other
- Complete daily assignments and keep records of work completed.
- Perform payroll duties for after school and summer programs.
- Conduct oneself in a professional, ethical, and responsible manner.
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Maintain an appropriate level of technology competence to meet the current and future needs of Alief.
- Implement alternative methods of instruction as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Evaluation
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of Non-Instructional Paraprofessional Personnel.

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including computer and peripherals
Posture: Standing, prolonged sitting, occasional kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing pulling, and twisting
Motion: Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching; may also require climbing stairs and reaching over head
Lifting: Moderate lifting and carrying (up to 15 pounds); May require occasional heavy lifting and carrying (15-45 pounds)
Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; some district wide travel; all campuses are temperature controlled with hard surface floors
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
