Position Overview

Align seeks a motivated Project Manager that possesses strong client-service skills and solid IT Project Management experience. This position will report to the Align Managed Services team, which provides monitoring and support services for critical and noncritical IT assets. Prior Hedge Fund or Alternative Investment industry experience is preferred. Qualified candidates will have prior experience of onboarding new clients onto our managed services platform.

• The role is hybrid based out of our New York City office requiring you to be on-site 3-5 days per week depending on project demand and customer needs
• Regular travel for projects throughout the New York metropolitan area and Connecticut is expected. Occasional travel to other locations outside the area may be required.
• This is a full-time position offering full benefits, a salary in the $90K to $100K range, paid training, and performance-based bonuses
  
  

Responsibilities

• Assessment of clients' internal infrastructure architecture, IT management/operational practices and reporting expectations, defining scope and requirements for onboarding to managed services including managed cloud hosting
• Creation of onboarding project plans, including communication and risk management plans
• Taking an entrepreneurial approach to innovate and enable faster delivery of solutions
• Overseeing the execution of project plans across cross-functional internal delivery teams
• Creating documentation packages and acquiring client and internal sign-offs
• Handling change order creation and billing inquiries
• Working with various teams to ensure seamless transition from new infrastructure implementations to business-as-usual delivery of products and services
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technology-related field or equivalent knowledge required
• Approximately 3-5 years of experience within a client-facing IT support role, managed services experience is preferred
• Must have at least 2 years of project management experience, Managed Services Client Onboarding experience is preferred
• Good technical knowledge around the Azure stack of technologies and prior hands-on infrastructure support or operations experience (IT service desk, cloud operations, SOC or NOC) is strongly preferred
  
  

Qualifications

• Proficiency using ConnectWise is preferred, but not required
• PMP certification or other project management certification is preferred but not required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• A professional approach the ability to build rapport with clients is imperative
• Strong individual time-management and multitasking skills
• Ability to host conference calls and presentations for all project stakeholders
• Self-starter who takes ownership of all tasks to successful completion
• Detail-oriented, ensuring accurate tracking of project deliverables
• Able to work onsite at client sites as needed
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset is a plus
