Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Manager to support a major municipal initiative. The ideal candidate will assist in the implementation of the City’s strategic investment areas, a key initiative supporting multimodal transportation and infrastructure development and possess strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of project management methodologies, and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and managing program-wide strategies and initiatives.
- Provide staff augmentation and resource planning.
- Establish and support the Program Management Office (PMO).
- Oversee budgeting, scheduling, and procurement strategies.
- Develop and maintain document control and communication plans.Lead and manage multiple projects from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate project status updates.
- Conduct requirements analysis to define project scope and objectives, ensuring clarity among team members.
- Develop detailed project schedules, allocating resources efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation through technical writing practices, ensuring all project details are accurately captured.
- Manage risks and issues proactively, implementing solutions as necessary to keep projects on track.
- Mentor and guide team members in best practices for requirements management and project execution.
Requirements
- Experience in municipal infrastructure, transportation, or public sector consulting.
- Proven expertise in one or more of the following: program management, risk management, owner advisory, project controls, or finance management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with government projects, change management, or staff training is a plus.
- Proven experience in program or project management within a relevant industry.
- Strong skills in team management, with the ability to motivate and lead diverse teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in requirements gathering and analysis, with a strong understanding of technical writing principles.
- Proficiency in meeting facilitation techniques to drive productive discussions and decision-making processes.
- Familiarity with project scheduling tools and methodologies, including Agile/Scrum frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability in product development processes from concept through launch.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $94,474.00 - $103,847.00 per year
