Aligned Orthopedic Partners is recruiting for a Orthotics and Bracing Assistant.
What you will do :
- Assist with scheduling for all orthotic or bracing patients
- Maintain up to date records of purchases and inventory
- Contact patients when DME has arrived
- Assist with collecting payment for all orthotics or bracing dispensed
- Run insurance benefits regarding DME, and contact patients to explain their benefits prior to their appointments
- Complete prior authorizations for DME as needed
- Assist with coordination of orthotist in placing orders
- Coordinate with physical therapy department, medical assistants and physicians as needed to get additional information
- Complete all scanning, documentation, and logging of DME information as appropriate
- Help with ordering of orthotic supplies and maintenance of area including but not limited to
- Cleaning equipment
- Organizing and putting equipment back
- Assisting with trails of different equipment
- Perform the job duties of a physical therapy technician to include but not limited to
- Helping Therapists facilitate patients including but not limited to
- Cleaning tables, equipment, and facilities
- Helping run patients through exercises as directed by therapists
- Assist with setting patients up on modalities including heat and ice
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment
- Assist with ordering equipment and supplies for therapists
- Will act as a float to either office to assist with coverage for pre-planned time-off or call-outs as needed.
- Will assist with patient service coordinator duties as needed including but not limited to
- Monitoring the schedule
- Answering incoming calls
- Making appointments
- Taking payments
- Checking patients in
- Scheduling post op therapy
- Other duties as assigned
