Position Summary:
The Lead Neurofeedback Tech works as direct support for Director of Neurofeedback Services with all aspects of NFB across MBH System. This includes but is not limited to supporting Site Specific Clinical Leadership with training and supporting NFB Technicians. Provides support to NFB Techs company-wide with the following: training all new staff, ensuring competency, skill strengthening, including administering NFB, evaluations and sessions, explaining feedback process, recording patient observation, and documenting patient progress. Facilitates bi-weekly in-group supervision and consultation meetings. Supports creating global flow to all processes related to implementing and running effective, efficient infra low NFB. Trains staff in Brain Spa Equipment and ensure all policies and procedures are in place with scheduling. Ongoing virtual session observations via Teams to ensure fidelity. This position also includes identifying staff at each site to support with Board Certification so that they can take over training and oversight of all additional staff training, supervision, and Brain Spa Equipment Maintenance
Essential Functions:
- Establish rapport and directly interact with patients and support patient in engagement with, and connection to the feedback received via NFB interface.
- Documentation includes initial note, consisting of a patient's baseline profile, selected protocol, reason, documentation for ongoing training sessions, and written tracking of the patient's progress.
- Work with patients struggling with mental health issues such as anxiety depression, OCD, sleep issues, substance and process addictions, PTSD and eating disorders.
- Work with patient schedules to provide scheduling and appointment slips for patients to maximize number of sessions per stay.
- Maintain/Monitor brain center equipment to ensure proper functioning. Administer brain center/spa equipment sessions consisting of Biofeedback and Alpha Entrainment.
- Provide daily communication to treatment team via email and Tier notices on status of patient's progress. Communicate with team in order to create an integrative model of brain health and nervous system regulation.
- Provide training to all new NFB techs and coaching/refresher training as needed.
Qualifications
Education: Highschool diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Certification: CPI, CPR/FA, Board Certification in NFB required.
Experience: Previous experience in behavioral health desired, prior training experience, 10,000 hours of training facilitation and at least 6 years of NFB experience required.
