JOB TITLE: Senior Accountant | Payroll Specialist
STATUS: Regular Full-Time

Ultimately, you will play an important role maintaining this key position while under the direction of the Chief Operations and Compliance Officer.
As the Senior Accountant, you will be solely responsible for the financial accounting for all Alivation entities, managing multiple QuickBooks and cross company expenses. You will work closely with our corporate CPA to prepare financial statements for taxes and other purposes. You will work with the practice owner and operations officer to provide financial analysis, budgeting, and other financial recommendations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (Job Description Available Upon Demand)
- Supports and implements the practice mission and strategic vision within their respective departments.
- Handles confidential information requiring professional discretion and compliance with protected health information, data integrity and security policies.
- Follows internal accounting procedures and policies to ensure financial security maintenance.
- Responsible for preparing monthly financial statements for management and external CPA.
- Prepares periodic reports of earnings, taxes and deductions, reconciles quarterly-end, annual-end reports and verifies W2s prior to issuance.
- Responsible for the administration of the payroll functions, recording employee compensation, time clock records and processing the required personnel action forms ensuring proper approvals.
- Maintains financial accounts by performing calculations, posting of journal entries, analysis, and reporting for accounting transactions in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Directs and oversees the daily management of the accounts payable processes and negotiated contracts agreed upon.
- Serves as an auditor ensuring invoices are accurate and relate to proper vendor payments.
- Prepares and reconciles reports, anticipates cash needs, maintains cash flow, and prepares bank deposits.
- Oversees the full cycle of all court ordered or official notice wage garnishments, levies, and processes manual checks.
- Responds to the appropriate court or agency according to applicable regulations and addresses employee questions or concerns.
- Responsible for managing electronic comprehensive benefit plans for payroll use to ensure accurate recordkeeping and proper deductions.
- Ensures comprehensive benefit plans timely enrollments and handles terminations.
- Processes all HRIS forms: New Hire, Promotions, Raises, Transfers, Schedules & Terminations.
- Demonstrates critical thinking and function under stressful or emergent situations.
- Demonstrates excellent listening skills, patience and trustworthiness to effectively ask questions and share knowledge.
- Works collaboratively with the Human Resources Team.
- Updates written payroll procedures and maintained documentation files.
- Other administrative duties as assigned to meet practice needs.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business-Related Field Preferred | Equivalent Work Experience Considered | Confidentiality, Discretion & Business Ethics | Proficient Excel & Microsoft Office Platform Skills | Time Tracking, Payroll & Reporting, Electronic Benefits & QuickBooks | Paylocity Software A Plus | Time Management Skills | Analytical Skills | Accurate Data Entry
EXPERIENCE: Minimum Three Years Accounting & Payroll Experience Preferably In A Medical Clinic, Previous experience using QuickBooks required
