SUMMARY
The Major Gifts Officer is responsible for identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major donors for Alive Hospice, as well as building relationships with prospects who have the capacity and affinity to donate to the organization.
This position is an integral part of the Alive's fundraising team, carrying out initiatives that support the hospice programs of care. Working closely with all development staff, the Major Gifts Officer will be responsible for development, implementation and management of major gifts and planned giving programs. This position participates at a high level in the annual planning and budgeting of fundraising activities each year and is an integral part of the development team.
The successful candidate will be a highly-motivated team player, organized, and able to manage time effectively.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Donor Relationship Management software experience preferred.
