This is an exciting opportunity to fill a pivotal role in deploying an advanced technology within the healthcare space. Focused on the deployment of an innovative pre-payment and post-payment healthcare analytics solution and services within the state government space. We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Account Manager to oversee and maintain strong relationships with our government clients. As the primary point of contact, the Account Manager will work closely with clients to ensure customer success, relationship management, identify growth opportunities, promote long-term partnerships, and represent the Alivia brand. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills to meet both client needs and business objectives.

At Alivia our focus is in realizing successful outcomes for our clients. As a key driver of customer success, this role requires strong collaboration and effective communication between both our clients and internal teams to achieve a unified and successful outcome.

This individual must have experience with state government clients in the healthcare payor sector, particularly Medicaid.  With knowledge of fraud, waste, and abuse, program integrity and payment accuracy practices for the healthcare payor space.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Client Relationship Management : Primary owner  for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships.
  • Account Growth :  Identify and pursue opportunities to grow accounts by coordinating with a business development partner to upsell or cross-sell products or services that align with client goals.
  • Customer Success :  Ensure clients receive the highest value from our solutions by understanding their needs, resolving issues, and providing ongoing support.
  • Communication :  Ongoing effective communications with external clients (including director and executive levels) via phone, email, or in-person meetings to update them on project progress, performance, and any relevant changes.
  • Problem Solving :  Quickly address client issues or concerns, escalating to the appropriate internal teams when necessary.
  • Collaboration :  Work closely with internal departments and project stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Data Science, Product, and Service Delivery) to ensure the timely delivery of solutions and services. Assist with government procurements, both in preparation and responses.
  • Reporting :  Prepare and deliver detailed performance reports to clients, analyzing metrics and making recommendations for improvement. Similar reporting may be required for internal reporting purposes.
  • Contract Negotiation & Renewal :  Manage the renewal process for existing contracts and actively support new contract negotiations.
  • Client Onboarding :  Support the implementation process for new clients, by working closely with assigned project managers ensuring a smooth transition, and clear understanding of services offered.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements :

  • Education :  Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience :  Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management, customer service, or operations roles supporting state government clients.
  • Skills :
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as project manager with large, complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare and / or commercial healthcare programs and policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounts / projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to think strategically across and for all clients
  • Relationship development skills at multiple levels with clients
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated success in client relationship management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferred :
  • Experience in supporting state Medicaid and predominately federal clients, in particular - CMS.
  • Demonstratable experience in government procurement processes.
