Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to manage conflicts effectively, and a commitment to loss prevention strategies. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the premises through proactive surveillance and response.
Set schedule: Thursday - Sunday 6PM - 4AM
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, providing assistance as needed.
- Utilize CCTV and surveillance systems to observe activities and detect suspicious behavior.
- Implement loss prevention measures to minimize theft or damage.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
- Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary and provide support during investigations.
- Provide first aid and CPR as required in emergency situations.
- Engage in conflict management to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is an asset.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must possess a valid security officer certificate or equivalent training.
- Willingness to undergo background checks as part of the hiring process.
