The Sr. SRE Operations Engineer is expected to focus on complex issue resolution, escalated tasks from team members, and focus on improvement, automation, and tooling for the Ops team. They are also expected to drive cross department and SRE Operations projects to completion from the technical standpoint and provide training to the team when necessary.Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Acts as an escalation point for existing team members
Works to develop automation, tooling, and scripting solutions for toil, projects, and manual effort tasks
Owns and drives company initiatives to completion from the SRE Operations perspective with reliable and stability as top of mind
Provides Infrastructure, Service, and Application Support as needed
Develops cross team/department relationships with technical resources
Participates in Level 2 On-call support
May participate in client or vendor facing calls and sessions
Develops and maintains knowledge management articles
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience with the following technologies Windows Server Administration, PowerShell, IIS, Amazon Web Services / Azure / GCP, PowerShell
2-3 years experience performing changes or troubleshooting in a Production environment
1-2 years experience creating and maintaining automation and tooling via a scripting language
1-2 years experience with containerized solutions such as Kubernetes, AWS ECS, or similar
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
Experience working in a collaborative environment with both technical and non-technical resources.
Good analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to participate in on-call rotation
