Fire Extinguisher Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with servicing, inspecting, and maintaining various types of fire suppression systems, including ABC, BC, Purple K, K-Class, and CO2 extinguishers. (Experience not required but preferred) You will be responsible for ensuring that fire protection equipment is fully operational and compliant with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections, maintenance, and testing of fire extinguishers (ABC, BC, Purple K, K-Class, CO2).

• Refill, recharge, and service extinguishers according to industry standards and regulations.

• Maintain accurate service records and provide detailed reports of work completed.

• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with local fire codes and NFPA standards.

• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and field technicians regarding maintenance schedules and recommendations.

• Educate clients on the proper usage and maintenance of fire extinguishers.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a fire extinguisher technician or in a similar fire safety-related field.

• Familiarity with various types of fire extinguishers, including ABC, BC, Purple K, K-Class, and CO2.

• Certification or training in fire safety and fire extinguisher servicing (NFPA, NICET, or equivalent preferred).

• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment as needed.

• Detail-oriented and organized.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with fire suppression systems in commercial or industrial settings.

• Familiarity with fire safety regulations, codes, and industry standards.

• Additional certifications related to fire safety and suppression systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
