POSITION OVERVIEW
The Family Nurse Practitioner works as part of the medical provider team providing medical services to the patients of All Care Health Center at our Mobile Medical Unit and provides overall management of the Mobile Medical Unit program.
SCHEDULE AND PAY
Fulltime hours. Clinic is Open: Monday – Thursday 8AM - 7PM, Friday 8AM – 5PM, and Saturday 8AM – 12PM. Scheduling needs will be discussed during interview.
This position salary range would be $115,000-$121,000.
DUTIES
- Takes complete, detailed and accurate histories, and performs complete physical examinations as scheduled or required.
- Performs general patient examinations related to the patient’s stated medical problems to establish diagnosis and develop an appropriate plan of care.
- Requests appropriate laboratory and radiological procedures. Interprets results with review of physician as appropriate.
- Requests appropriate therapeutic pharmacological regimes related to the patient’s diagnosis and condition.
- Performs routine therapeutic procedures, including injections; care of superficial wounds and burns; removal of foreign bodies from skin; removal of sutures and casts; and other procedures as appropriate.
- Assists in the overall management of the Mobile Medical Unit program
- Acts as a key resource in providing clinical and operational guidance and support to the Mobile Medical Unit.
- Assess current administrative processes and clinical protocol; identifies opportunities for improvement relating to quality and cost while maintaining adherence to compliance
- Participates in internal ACHC meetings including clinician meetings, patient care meetings, and other quality assurance activities, and staff meetings, as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licenses in the State of Iowa.
- Successful completion of a certification examination administered by the American Nursing Association or National Commission on Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA) . Maintenance of ANA or NCCPA certification through continuing education and work experience as required.
- Current Federal DEA and Iowa CSA registrations in good standing
