Description
Purpose:
Supports sales and service departments by profitability managing pickup and delivery of equipment. Centralized contact for scheduling all transportation requests received from Sales Managers, Service Managers.
Responsibilities:
- Optimizes vehicle assets to improve routing and capacity, ensuring timely pickup and deliveries
- Communicates accurate pickup/delivery dates and details with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local transport and vehicle regulations, reporting and permitting processes
- Responsible for driver staffing, compliance, coaching and employee development activities
- Manages lifecycle of transport equipment, aids in determination of transportation needs and required capabilities within budget
- Analyze data and reports for continuous improvement opportunities within the department
- Continued professional development of coaching and change management to help lead an effective team
- May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
Qualifications
Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Understanding of delivery logistics and regulatory delivery practices
- Experience working in a fast-paced team environment
- General understanding of mechanical/technical terms preferred
- Knowledge of basic computer applications, Microsoft programs as well as scheduling applications
- Basic machinery and vehicle capability knowledge
- Experience communicating effectively verbally over the phone and in person, as well as in writing
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
- Works in a standard office environment, including consistently viewing a computer monitor and using keyboard/mouse
