Starting Wage: $19.09 per hour

Bilingual Differential: Additional $1.50 per hour

We are a growing agency dedicated to supporting children, adults, individuals with substance use disorders (SUD), and veterans in their behavioral health recovery. As a Certified Peer Support Specialist, you will use your personal experiences to foster service engagement, provide advocacy, and empower clients to navigate treatment and recovery resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish positive, supportive relationships with clients using personal recovery experience.
• Provide guidance and coaching on wellness, recovery, and coping strategies.
• Assist clients in accessing community resources and support networks.
• Encourage self-advocacy and help clients navigate service systems.
• Support clients in overcoming barriers to care, including attending appointments.
• Participate in treatment team meetings to coordinate services.
• Organize support groups, educational opportunities, and social gatherings.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with agency policies.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Certified Peer Support Worker (CPSW) certification in the state of New Mexico.
• Experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
• Knowledge of community resources.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Motivational Interviewing techniques.
• Ability to work as part of a team with flexibility and initiative.
