We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Access Coordinator for the front desk. As the Patient Access Coordinator, you will be responsible for following the patient registration process and ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of patients through our medical facility.
```Responsibilities```
- Manage the patient registration process, including verifying patient information, collecting necessary documentation, and entering data into the electronic medical records system
- Coordinate with medical staff to schedule appointments and procedures for patients
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines related to patient privacy and confidentiality
- Resolve any issues or concerns related to patient access, including billing inquiries or insurance coverage questions
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall patient experience
- Maintain accurate records of patient demographics, insurance information, and other relevant data
- Monitor key performance indicators related to patient access and implement strategies for improvement
```Requirements```
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is required
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems such as eMDs, Phreesia, or Epic
- Strong administrative skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Knowledge of pediatric office procedures is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues from different departments
- Familiarity with medical scheduling and appointment management
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
