The Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing legal support and assisting with various legal matters. Please note: salary range includes potential bonus opportunity.
Duties:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs and reports
- Handle defense of civil litigation matters from the initial stages to final resolution. Including investigation, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Assist with case management and preparation for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide legal advice
- Represent clients in depositions, mediations and court proceedings
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation
- Attend client meetings and communicate effectively with clients regarding case progress
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the state of Florida
- 1 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on insurance defense matters or other civil litigation.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Proficient in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
