Commercial Roofing Estimator

AMF, Northeast Florida's leading metal fabrication supplier, is looking for an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our growing team. This position is key to delivering outstanding service and making strong first impressions with potential clients. Your role will include providing accurate cost estimates for roofing projects; covering materials, labor, and time in order to ensure our bids are competitive while upholding AMF's high standards of quality.

We are seeking a highly organized candidate with the ability to multitask and strong communication skills. Experience in roofing or construction is essential. Proficiency with office software, including email tools, spreadsheets, and CRM platforms, is also required. We are a veteran-friendly employer and encourage veterans to apply! Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough cost analyses for commercial roofing projects, including material, labor, and time estimates.
• Document details roof system, property features, sales visit notes and customer information with a company software platform
• Prepare detailed and accurate bid proposals in a clear, effective manner.
• Represent AMF as a trusted leader in the roofing industry and position our products and services above competitors.
• Generate new leads through distribution of marketing materials and networking.
• Ensure that jobs are moved efficiently through all steps of sales and project completion.
• Provide general support for customer communication as needed during the project.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a commercial roofing estimator or similar role in the commercial construction industry.
• Demonstrate a knowledge of commercial roofing design, materials & installation.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular)
• Proficiency working with industry with software systems and field apps.
• Familiarity with email scheduling tools.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

• Microsoft Office: 3 years (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Jacksonville, FL 32207: Relocate before starting work (Required)
