Job Title : Sr. COBOL Mainframe Developer Location : Remote Expected Start Date : March 16, 2025 Expected End Date : September 16, 2025 Duration : 6 months Summary This is a remote position. Ideal candidates must have a secure, dedicated workspace with reliable Internet service, the ability to maintain a consistent work schedule and be available for weekly meetings and group collaboration via Microsoft Teams and other applications during regular business hours. The position may require team members to come into the office for scheduled meetings, and there may be unscheduled requests with seventy-two (72) hours' notice for any business need. Texas Workforce Commission experience is preferred. Key Responsibilities Mainframe Development : Design, develop, implement, and support large-scale, complex mainframe production systems. Application Support : Perform system support, security reviews, and maintenance tasks. Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless integration and communication. Problem-Solving : Analyze and troubleshoot system issues, prioritizing business impact and urgency. Technical Implementation : Utilize expertise in COBOL or Natural programming, TSO / ISPF, JCL, DB2, and VSAM files. Minimum Requirements Experience & Skills : 8 years of experience as a Mainframe Developer / Programmer Analyst with COBOL or Natural programming . 8 years of experience with large-scale, complex mainframe production systems . 8 years of hands-on experience in design, implementation, and production support of applications . Strong background in design, analysis, and coding using COBOL or Natural, TSO / ISPF, JCL, and DB2 . Experience working with VSAM files . Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working in a global environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities . Ability to prioritize business impact and urgency .
