FLSA Status: Salary

SALARY RANGE: $68,000 - $74,000 Annually.

Compensation will include paid time off (PTO), health, dental, vision and life insurance options.

POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Area Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for overseeing the security operations at the client’s site, ensuring the safety of personnel, property, and assets. This role involves leading and managing a team of security officers, responding to emergencies, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. The position requires quick decision-making skills, the ability to perform under high stress, and excellent leadership abilities to effectively manage security operations in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The Area Manager will also handle staffing, scheduling adjustments, client relations, and incident documentation. This role requires responsive resilience, the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and proficiency with security technology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

• Effectively manage, direct, and support a team of security officers. Provide training and guidance to ensure team members meet the high expectations of the role, while maintaining a focus on performance in a fast-paced environment.
• Oversee all aspects of site security, including surveillance monitoring, patrolling, controlling access, and ensuring an immediate response to any security incidents.
• Serve as the primary liaison for the client and an ambassador of All Pro Security, addressing security concerns efficiently, professionally, and promptly. Ensure the client’s expectations are met consistently.
• Proven experience working with city and government officials in a formal meeting environment, including the ability to navigate governmental processes, communicate effectively with key stakeholders, and represent the organization in official engagements.
• Maintain focus and sound judgment in high-pressure situations, demonstrating the ability to keep calm, think critically, and act swiftly under stress.
• Manage shift assignments to ensure full coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Be flexible and ready to make last-minute scheduling adjustments as required.
• Maintain accurate, detailed records of security operations, incidents, and daily logs. Ensure compliance with All Pro Security policies and client reporting requirements. Ensure employee evaluations and disciplinary actions are completed on time
• Ensure the team follows All Pro Security policies, client requirements, and relevant legal regulations. Maintain a high standard of service while enforcing security procedures and best practices.
• Dealing appropriately with people in situations that may, at times, become confrontational, stressful, or uncomfortable.
• Manage numerous tasks and assignments at a time with frequent interruptions.
• Requires a flexible schedule and willingness to work nights and weekends, at times.
• Work may require exposure to stressful circumstances, including meeting deadlines, other stressful work conditions, and contact with the public in negative situations.
• Must be able to work cordially and efficiently with the rest of the administrative APS staff. This includes working closely with the other Operations Manager and Field Supervisors.

CERTIFICATIONS:

• Must have a current State of Utah issued Armed Private Security Office license OR P.O.S.T. Certification.
• Additional certifications such as First Aid, CPR, AED, Batton, OC Spray, Handcuff or other security management qualifications will be required within 90 days.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Preferred experience 2 years as a Security Officer, Law Enforcement, or Military.
• Ability to handle high-stress situations with calmness and professionalism.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Quick decision-making and problem-solving abilities in a fast-moving, high-pressure situations.
• Proficiency with security technology and relevant computer programs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• This is a physically demanding role that requires standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods. Ability to handle moderate-weight items as required and maintain physical stamina throughout shifts.
