All-Pro Threaded Products, manufacturing division of All-Pro Fasteners, Inc., located in Arlington, Texas, is a producer of a wide variety of special fasteners that are used throughout the steel fabrication, pipe, OEM, industrial construction and utility industries.

We are looking for a 1st Shift Special Projects Technician to join our Manufacturing Team. This shift is M-F from 6:00am - 2:30pm

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Special Projects Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical principles to support the design, construction, testing, and maintenance of innovative projects. This role requires a problem-solver with a strong technical foundation, capable of working independently or collaboratively to execute specialized tasks and deliver high-quality results on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, install, and troubleshoot systems involving hydraulic and pneumatic components, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Perform electrical wiring, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment, adhering to industry standards and specifications.
  • Conduct mechanical assembly, maintenance, and modifications on machinery or prototypes, using precision tools and techniques.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project leads to develop, test, and refine custom solutions for unique project requirements.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to guide installation and repair processes.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues in realtime, applying knowledge of fluid dynamics, electrical circuits, and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including project logs, test results, and equipment status reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations during all phases of project execution.
  • Assist in sourcing materials, tools, and components as needed for special projects.
  • Contribute creative ideas and practical insights to improve project outcomes and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (3 years preferred) working with hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Strong understanding of troubleshooting and repair techniques across multiple technical disciplines.
  • Proficiency with tools such as multimeters, pressure gauges, torque wrenches, and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams.
  • Familiarity with safety standards (e.g., OSHA) and best practices in a technical environment.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team or independently.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in a related field (e.g., mechatronics, industrial maintenance) preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with PLC programming or automation systems is a plus.
  • Welding, fabrication, or machining skills are an advantage.
  • Comfortable working in fastpaced environments with evolving project demands.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions (standing, bending, kneeling) for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work in diverse settings, including workshops, field sites, or confined spaces as needed.
