We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell V-280 Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, Bell's Autonomous Pod Transport (APT), and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold tilt-rotor. This position is onsite in Fort Worth however, exceptions for alternate work arrangements may be considered.
SCM Engineering Transitions Team
Contributing to the successful completion of major projects that support difficult technical objectives, the Manufacturing Engineering Projects role utilizes manufacturing technical principles, theories and concepts to apply manufacturing technology on existing or advanced designs, concepts, processes, systems and tools. Working under general supervision, the individual follows established processes in execution of the scope of work as part of a team. The individual is obtaining unique Manufacturing Engineering knowledge in specialty and advanced manufacturing technical areas.

What You'll Be Doing As a Mfg Project Engineer
- Effectively identify and report potential safety and quality hazards/risks.
- Develop scope of work, resource estimates, progress metrics, and communication cadence for overall project management to meet objectives.
- Perform producibility analysis and manufacturing trade studies to determine cost effective solutions to complex manufacturing technical objectives.
- Works through a disciplined approach in initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing tasks to achieve specific goals to specific success criteria.
- Work and deliverables reviewed and checked through supervision for technical soundness to adequately meet objectives.
- Shares manufacturing technology with teammates and colleagues.
Skills You Bring to this Role
- Able to apply engineering design and analysis knowledge to evaluate discrepancies and anomalies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and Outlook
Each of the following are valid combinations of experience and education for this position.
- 3 years in aerospace or related manufacturing industry experience with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or relevant/related disciplines.
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or relevant/relates discipline plus a Master of Science (MS), Master of Business Administration (MBA) and/or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
- Aero-structure - Airframe design of metallic, non-metallic, machining, cutting tool, additive part fabrication and assembly manufacturing processes, equipment, tool integration, and product verification.
- Electrical and Mechanical Systems - design, integration and installation manufacturing processes, tool integration, equipment, and product verification.
- Tail, Main and Prop Rotor Blade Systems - design of metallic, non-metallic, machining, cutting tool, additive part fabrication and bonded assembly manufacturing processes, tool integration, equipment, and product verification.
- Manufacturing Execution Systems - process specifications, CAD/CAM; production planning, material requirements scheduling, and material kitting and handling.
- Gear and Transmission Drive Systems - metallic, non-metallic, machining, cutting tool, additive part fabrication and assembly manufacturing processes, tool application, equipment, and product verification.
- Tool and Equipment Integration - Facility requirements, ergonomics, safety, environmental, automation, robotics, metrology, tool & die fabrication, tool design methodology, determinant tooling & fixtures, loft practices, flat patterning, numerical controlled programing of equipment, tool cutting/addition technology applied to the fabrication and assembly of vertical lift systems.
- CATIA V4, V5/V6 Experience.
- Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology in Chemical, Systems, Computer, Industrial, Automation/Robotic, Aeronautical/Aviation, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Environmental, and Materials
- Experience with electronic product and project data in applications such as Enovia, CAMS, and Primavera.
- You'll be off every other Friday with our 9/80 work schedule
