We are seeking a highly organized and patient-focused Prior Authorization Specialist for a specialty practice. The ideal candidate will have prior medical office experience handling prior authorization requests, insurance coordination, and patient support. Key Responsibilities:
- Insurance Verification & Eligibility – Confirm patient insurance coverage, benefits, and prior authorization requirements before submission.
- Prior Authorization Management – Submit, track, and follow up on prior authorization requests to ensure timely approvals.
- Patient Enrollment Support – Assist patients in accessing co-pay assistance programs and foundation support to minimize out-of-pocket costs.
- Care Coordination – Collaborate with providers, clinical staff, and pharmacies to ensure smooth medication approval and delivery.
- Patient & Provider Communication – Provide clear, professional assistance to patients, insurance representatives, and healthcare teams regarding authorization status and cost estimates.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a medical office setting, specifically in prior authorization or insurance verification.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and patient-focused approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
