Job Title: Early Childhood Music Teacher
Job Description
As the Early Childhood Music Teacher, you will inspire young minds and foster a love for music for students, Threes through Bridge Kindergarten. Your passion for music education will create a dynamic and engaging learning environment, allowing students to explore and develop their musical talents and interests. Additionally, the EC Music Teacher plays piano to accompany daily EC Chapel services. This position is part-time and will require 15 hours per week and will be expected to begin in August of 2025.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver comprehensive music lessons for EC students.
- Teach age-appropriate music theory, vocal and instrumental techniques, and music appreciation for various genres.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
- Develop and align music curriculum with educational standards and school goals.
- Create engaging lesson plans and resources, adapting to students' age and skill levels.
- Prepare students for performances.
- Provide opportunities for students to showcase their musical talents.
- Expose students to a variety of musical instruments.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff for school-wide performances.
- Communicate with parents about students' participation in music class as needed.
- Maintain a well-organized and safe classroom environment conducive to music instruction.
- Enforce classroom rules and promote a respectful atmosphere.
- Manage music resources and materials effectively.
- Plays piano to accompany EC Chapel services.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff members.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in music education or a related field
- 3-5 years of teaching experience.
- Experience in playing and teaching various musical instruments.
- Knowledge of music theory, history, and different musical genres.
- Demonstrated musical talents and performance experience.
- Adaptability to meet the diverse needs of Early Childhood students.
