Key Responsibilities
Serve and Support Clients : Provide prompt, courteous service to our existing policyholders via phone, email, and in-person. Address questions on coverage, assist with policy changes / endorsements, handle billing inquiries, and guide clients through the claims process with empathy.
Retention & Client Relationship Management : Proactively reach out to clients for policy reviews, renewals, and follow-ups to ensure high customer retention. Build trust by understanding their needs and ensuring their policies remain the right fit over time.
Cross-Selling & Account Growth : Identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell appropriate coverages that benefit the client (for example, bundling auto home, adding an umbrella policy, etc.). No hard sales or cold prospecting – you’ll focus on educating existing customers on valuable options when it truly helps them.
Efficiency & Accuracy : Process policy updates, payments, and documentation accurately and efficiently using our agency management software. Keep detailed records of customer interactions and ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Team Collaboration : Work closely with our agents and fellow CSRs to ensure a seamless client experience. Share knowledge, support team goals, and contribute to a positive office atmosphere. (Everyone pitches in to deliver excellent service!)
Qualifications
Experience : 2 years of experience as an Insurance CSR (or Account Manager) in an agency or brokerage setting. You should be comfortable servicing personal lines (auto / home) and / or commercial policies and handling day-to-day client requests.
Licensing : Active Louisiana Insurance license (Property & Casualty required; Life & Health license a plus). Must be currently licensed to be considered for this role.
Insurance Knowledge : Solid understanding of insurance products, coverages, and policy processes. You know how to explain coverage options in simple terms and can confidently navigate policy management tasks.
Customer Service Skills : Excellent communication and people skills – you are patient, empathetic, and adept at solving problems for customers. A true client-first attitude is a must.
Efficiency & Organization : Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment. You take pride in doing things right the first time and keeping client files organized.
Tech Savvy : Proficient with computers and agency management systems / CRM software. (Experience with tools like Applied Epic, AMS360, or similar is helpful.) You also have solid Google Workspace and MS Office skills.
Team Player : Collaborative and team-oriented mindset. You work well with others, share knowledge, and aren’t afraid to ask for or offer help. We need someone who thrives in a close team and contributes to a positive culture.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary : Commensurate with experience and qualifications. Paid on a stable, semi-monthly schedule.
