We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our small business team to be a bookkeeper and general office coordinator in Long Valley NJ. Our candidate should possess, excellent communication, organization, and bookkeeping skills. They must be able to work independently, be a self-starter and be flexible with responsibilities, and duties.
Job Summary
General office admin tasks and supportive duties to the owners
Type up estimates, update calendars, answer light phones, create a daily social media posts
Simple website updates
AR/AP and Payroll for 2-6 employees
Invoicing and Vendor Postings
Reconcile accounts, credit cards, bank accounts, monthly vendors statements
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Quickbooks
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations.
Month end and reports including profit loss, and balance sheet as needed
Year End preparation for tax remittance, worker's compensation and general liability audits
Qualifications & Skills:
5-10 years of experience in bookkeeping and payroll
Strong Quickbooks & MS Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient written and oral English skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required.
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role, preferably in the construction industry
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
Education:
Accounting or Finance Diploma or Degree
Schedule:
· 15-20 hours per week (flexible) 3-4 hours a day 3x week in the office between 9am-4pm 7-10 hours from home.
· Hours – dictated by workload/projects
Experience:
· QuickBooks: 5 years (required)

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
