Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry work and be proficient in various construction techniques. This role involves working with materials such as brick, stone, and concrete to create durable structures and surfaces. The Mason will collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards.

Duties

• Construct, repair, and maintain structures made of brick, stone, or concrete.
• Perform metal stud framing and drywall installation as needed.
• Execute hardscape projects, including patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
• Finish concrete surfaces to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal.
• Apply plaster and stucco for finishing touches on buildings.
• Collaborate with carpenters for frame carpentry tasks and roof installations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.

Experience

• Proven experience in masonry or related construction fields is essential.
• Familiarity with cobblestone, paving, pool coping, fireplaces, outdoor BBQ and kitchens, concrete installation, brick and stone patios.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person
