Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Management:
- Hiring, training, and supervising kitchen staff, including seasonal workers.
- Scheduling staff efficiently to meet peak demand and maintain smooth operations.
- Motivating and coaching staff to maintain high performance standards.
- Food Preparation & Quality:
- Overseeing food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
- Ensuring adherence to recipes and food safety standards.
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Inventory & Cost Control:
- Managing inventory of food and supplies, ordering items as needed.
- Monitoring food costs and minimizing waste.
- Collaborating with other managers to plan menus and pricing.
- Operations & Administration:
- Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Working with vendors and contractors for kitchen equipment maintenance.
- Other Duties:
- May assist with activities or other tasks as needed.
- May need to drive to pick up kitchen supplies when inventory is not available from vendors.
