What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Pool Manager position at City of Beloit?
Summer Seasonal: May through August (variable hours; approximately 10-40 hours/week)
- Manage and supervise staff in the overall maintenance of Krueger Pool during work hours (including but not limited to security, cleanliness and safety)
- Safety and direct supervision of facility patrons
- Provide high level of leadership
- Provide supervision of staff including in-service training and scheduling
- Coordination and planning of facility maintenance procedures
- Complete necessary paperwork specific to job responsibilities (state mandated forms, attendance forms, accident/incident report forms, facility checklists, etc.)
- Initiate communication regarding safety concerns to management staff on a daily basis
- Encourage children to participate in swimming activities through positive reinforcement
- Supervise special events held at assigned facility
- Serve as a positive role model to the participants
- Perform set-up and take-down of program related equipment
- Responsible for daily monetary transactions and deposits at facility
- Perform end-of-season staff evaluations with employees
- Organize and assign staff to teach weekly swim lessons
- Must be 18 years of age upon employment.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Current Lifeguard Training, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, and AED certifications.
- Ability to supervise staff.
- Ability to effectively coordinate and direct the overall operation, including maintenance of the swimming pool during swim hours.
- Ability to enforce City of Beloit policies and procedures.
