Exciting Position for a Neonatologist in Fort Worth, TX!
Responsibilities
Excellent opportunity to join a busy Level IV Neonatology practice with a diverse group of 41 Neonatologists and 69 NNPS in Fort Worth, TX. Our practice is based around Cook Children’s, a regional children's hospital in the large Fort Worth-Dallas metroplex.
- Practice provides neonatal care traditionally found in a regional children’s hospital Level IV NICU with ECMO, high-frequency ventilation (HFOV and JET), nitric oxide, complex CV surgery, total body cooling with 24-hour video EEG, complex pediatric surgery, neurosurgery, urology, etc.
- Access to pediatric sub-specialty support (pulmonology, cardiology, genetics, neurology, hematology, nephrology, GI, etc.).
- Provide leadership to Teddy Bear Air - one of the busiest pediatric transport teams in the country offering high-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide on transport utilizing fixed-wing jet aircraft, helicopters, and ground ambulances.
- Opportunity to rotate through other large high-risk maternal hospitals delivering the sickest babies in the region including micro-preemies, gastroschisis, complex heart lesions, complex congenital malformations, neurosurgical cases, and more. Coordination of prenatal care with established area MFM groups.
- Affiliation with the TCU Medical School with opportunities for clinical faculty positions and medical student teaching and mentoring.
- Group actively participates in quality improvement across our practice with active involvement in both VON and CHNC. We are committed to practicing evidence-based medicine with monthly journal clubs, monthly neonatal ground rounds, and the creation and maintenance of 65 practice-wide clinical guidelines. Actively involved in clinical research projects with the NIH, Pediatrix, and others.
