Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Operator to join our team. This critical role is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods, as well as performing routine vehicle maintenance and repairs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the automotive industry, including mechanical knowledge and the ability to diagnose and repair vehicles.
Duties:
- Drive and operate a variety of vehicles, including tow trucks, flatbeds, and commercial vehicles, as needed.
- Load and unload goods and materials in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake checks.
- Conduct automotive diagnostics and repairs, including minor mechanical repairs and troubleshooting issues.
- Operate and maintain equipment, including tow trucks and flatbeds.
- Manage conflicts in a professional and courteous manner, maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while on the job.
- Keep accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Be on CHP rotation or PD rotation as a tow truck operator.
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience with automotive repairs.
- Proficiency with manual transmissions and ability to operate vehicles safely.
- Experience with tow trucks and flatbeds.
- Commercial driving experience.
- Excellent conflict management skills.
- Ability to diagnose and repair vehicles using automotive diagnostics.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
