All-Star Transportation, Connecticut's leading school transportation company, is a seeking a dispatcher for its location in New Milford, Connecticut. This is a full-time position reporting to the Terminal Manager.
Responsibilities: Under limited supervision, assist with dispatching all buses to ensure on-time performance of service while performing customer service function.
-Assist Manager with routing and scheduling of buses upon request; provide timely information to drivers
-Assist Manager with phones, detailing any scheduling and/or driver complaints so the Manager may resolve problems directly with customer
-May assist Manager in handling charter reservations
-Assist in providing information during any and all emergency weather or vehicle breakdown situations
-Perform other tasks or projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
-Excellent customer service and communication skills
-Basic knowledge of radio dispatch equipment
-Problem solving skill and ability
-Basic computer skills a plus with proficient typing skills
-Good knowledge of geographical area very helpful.
