Job Title: Inventory Control Coordinator
Summary
The Inventory Control Coordinator is a pro-active, hands-on position that maintains inventory accuracy through cycle counts, discrepancy counts, location integrity and receiving inventory in.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Employee must be able to perform these essential functions of the position satisfactorily and, if requested, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job, absent undue hardship.
- Performs cycle counts on a monthly basis and/or monitors cycle counts on a monthly basis.
- Resolves issues identified on reports; Items missing bin, Negative QOH, Inventory in transit and Inventory in quarantine
- Ensures part to bin location accuracy and maintain the same in computer system.
- Practices proper operational and safety policies/procedures at all times.
- Investigates discrepancies and make corrections.
- Conducts root cause analysis of discrepancies to mitigate repeat occurrences. Makes recommendations to management for improvement.
- Assists other employees that are both internal and external with Inventory discrepancies.
- Generates Purchase Orders: Researches and identifies vendors, compares prices, and creates purchase orders for needed supplies and materials.
- Maintains Inventory Management Systems: Ensures accurate data entry.
- Works with all members of the inventory department on machine kits and entering all parts coming into stock into inventory.
- Responsible for scrapping all inventory as needed and/or directed from inventory management system.
- Other responsibilities include locating inventory from the yard for sales staff.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Complies with the requirements of the company’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System (when required).
Required Education/Experience/Skills
- High School graduate, or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Must have attention to detail.
- Intermediate to advanced computer experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams).
- Knowledge of SAP, Net Suite and Shipping Software a plus.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills
- Experience in inventory control is a plus but not required.
- Basic knowledge of agricultural/construction equipment a plus
- Ability to operate a fork lift, electric pallet jack, and manual pallet jack.
- Ability to operate parts picker and man baskets up to 14’ height.
- Ability to operate handheld scanner or equivalent.
