A Youth Specialist (YS) provides essential assistance to children with disabilities, helping them live more independently and achieve their personal goals. Their responsibilities typically include:
- Skill Development: Supporting individuals in learning life skills, such as cooking, budgeting, and social interactions.
- Community Integration: Facilitating access to community resources and activities, helping individuals engage socially and participate in events.
- Behavioral Support: Implementing behavioral plans and strategies to promote positive behaviors and address challenges.
- Health Monitoring: Observing and reporting health changes and coordinating with healthcare providers.
- Documentation: Keeping accurate records of individuals’ progress, incidents, and any relevant information.
Overall, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for the people you support, fostering independence and inclusion.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with physical, mental, or emotional disabilities.
- Provide support and teach essential skills to help them lead more independent lives.
- Offer assistance ranging from daily living skills to full care, based on individual needs.
- Schedules for this area will be primarily after school hours, overnights, before school, and/or weekends

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
