Description :

We are seeking a skilled Production Manager to oversee the organization and planning of Allan Aircraft’s manufacturing and procurement operations. The functions within the department include procurement, scheduling, planning and fulfillment, supplier development and quality, logistics and inventory. The Production Manager will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the flow of work through external vendor processes and services.
• Develop and maintain production schedules, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate with other departments to ensure the timely delivery of products.
• Monitor material costs and cost savings.
• Develop and manage supply base to balance workload across internal and external manufacturing resources.
• Lead and manage the production, purchasing, and estimating teams including hiring, training, and scheduling employees.
• Create work instructions and make changes where needed to improve processes.
• Mitigate sole / single source risk and ensure continuity of supply. Champion supplier discovery and visit supplier’s facilities to accurately assess technical capability, equipment, and capacity
• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
• Implement process improvements to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs.
• Work with the Quality Assurance department to ensure that all products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Use quality metrics to continually improve the quality output of vendors and suppliers.
• Provide regular reports to senior management on production performance and progress.
• Think creatively – question the status quo, while following documentation and maintaining prescribed quality standards.
