The Human Resources Department fills a crucial role to the success of Allan Bros., Inc. The Human Resources Assistant will contribute to the administration and day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties in addition to the implementation of services, policies, and programs through HR staff as well as assisting supervisors and the HR department with onboarding and attendance. The ideal candidate will have some college experience, experience working in a group setting while facilitating training, onboarding, and taking attendance of staffing with diverse cultural backgrounds. Human Resources and Administrative experience is preferred but not required and being able to communicate in English/Spanish through written and verbal methods is required. They should be competent with computers and proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Work and Excel.
The Human Resources Assistant position is a full time, hourly position and will primarily work in an office environment and exposure to warehouse and packing environments; will be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays during peak season.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The essential functions listed below are not intended to reflect all duties that may be assigned to this position. Allan Brothers may augment duties, including essential functions, at its discretion.)
1. Answer phone calls
2. Take messages
3. Receive and screen job applications. As well as answer questions on hiring needs for general labor
4. Explain company employment policies, and electronically complete additional hiring processes
5. Call applicants to schedule for onboarding. Complete the onboarding process from start to finish (hand off to work area).
a. Completing necessary paperwork, hiring into the HRIS, orientation, and tour of campus.
6. Schedule interviews for the HR team and other department managers/supervisors as needed.
7. Maintain databases with employee information file and maintain filing systems, organize, and maintain up-to-date personnel and employment records.
8. Assist with the management of employee incentive programs and administration of employee training programs.
9. Uploading files for both recruitment and workman’s comp
10. Filing as needed

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY:
- Work well under pressure
- Manage multiple projects at a time
- Communicate with excellent ability - both written and verbal
- Bilingual (English and Spanish, written and verbal) required
- Must be a team player and maintain a positive, professional attitude
- Have strong computer skills
- Be detail oriented & organized
- Be willing to work flexible hours and weekends
- Office experience required
