We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Life Skills Instructor to support an individual with disabilities in reaching their SMART goals. This role involves providing hands-on assistance in:
- Meal Planning: Guiding meal preparation, creating balanced shopping lists, and establishing healthy eating routines.
- Laundry Management: Assisting with laundry tasks, clothing organization, and developing self-sufficiency.
- Time Management: Helping the individual manage schedules, set reminders, and improve daily organization.
- Medical Assistance: Offering support for scheduling and attending appointments, medication reminders, and maintaining health routines.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in social work, special education, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a supportive role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to motivate and inspire clients.
- Reliable, organized, and adaptable in meeting the diverse needs of clients.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided).
