Report To: Financial Center Manager and Financial Center Assistant Managers
General Accountability
The primary purpose of this position is to assist Allegacy Federal Credit Union in living out its mission, “to help you make smart financial choices” and support the expected behaviors of the Synergy culture. To achieve this goal the employee must provide outstanding service to both internal and external members. To achieve this goal the employee must provide outstanding service to both internal and external members. A key component of this service to identify the financial needs of the member and recommend an appropriate credit union solution. In addition, this position is responsible for assisting members with customer service transactions and handling multiple tasks, which requires a high degree of organizational skills. This individual must provide excellent customer service and sell Allegacy’s products and services that meet the member’s specific needs.
Nature and Scope
Customer Service Assistant will report to the Financial Center Manager and Financial Center Assistant Managers. This position will be the initial contact for customer service and lending assistance.

- Completion of all required compliance training to include BSA.
- Meet or exceed established sales and service goals.
- Must possess effective knowledge of the Credit Union’s products and services.
- Ensure thorough understanding of expectations and consistently exhibit Synergy Wheel behaviors
- Provide quality member service as CSA with a high degree of accuracy.
- Set up new accounts and assist member with problems and questions.
- Receive and enter loan applications, verify all necessary information before member leaves office.
- Operate MSR window as needed.
- Be alert to presence and greet members in lobby.
- Assist members with opening and entering Safe Deposit boxes.
- 50% of job requirements are to be concentrated in sales.
- Maintain confidentiality in respect to members’ accounts.
- Additional duties as assigned.

- Ability to discuss AFCU products and services.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, with abilities to handle complaints and problems.

Education and Experience
- Experienced in operating on line computer terminal with PC experience.
- Two years experience in a financial center or customer service environment.
- Demonstrate a general working knowledge of all financial services, teller activities and financial center operations.
- Eligible to be registered as a Mortgage Loan Originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System.
