Job Title: TLC Loan Interviewer
Report To: AVP, Lending Development and Delivery

In order to achieve this state of success, this position will assist members with loan applications for credit approval or denial, recommend a loan, input documentation into the computer and process approved loans. This individual must provide excellent customer service and sell Allegacy’s products and services that meet the member’s specific needs.
Nature and Scope
Loan Interviewer will report to the AVP, Lending Development and Delivery of assigned location. This position must provide advice and counsel to members in respect to their borrowing needs and ensure that proper disclosures are communicated at loan closing.
Specific Accountabilities
- Deliver exceptional member service to every member, every time by ensuring employees deliver consistently high quality service to both internal and external member that is in alignment with our Brand Culture.
- Meet or exceed established service goals
- Ensure thorough understanding of expectations and consistently exhibit Allegacy behaviors.
- Works with manager and supports teammates to achieve department lending and sales goals.
- Process loan applications to ensure prompt examination of applicant’s credit worthiness to minimize risk to AFCU.
- Make certain that loan closings are completed on a timely basis, and are consistent with AFCU policies and procedures.
- Ensure that proper documentation is forwarded for audit and microfilming promptly.
- Comply with laws, regulations and policies that relate to credit union operations.
- Incorporate AFCU performance attributes in daily work activities along with the willingness and ability to display a professional, courteous and helpful attitude to members (internal as well as external).
- 50% of this job’s requirements are to be concentrated in sales.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Support and promote a Sales and Service culture within AFCU.
- Demonstrated successful sales performance.
- Clerical accuracy in handling complicated transactions.
- Ability to conduct business in a professional manner, exercising personal discretion and independent judgment, while maintaining compliance with complex policies, laws, and regulations.
- Ability to discuss all AFCU’s programs and services.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in respect to the member’s financial affairs.
Education and Experience
- Two to three years of experience in Consumer Lending.
- Undergraduate degree in business or related degree preferred.
- Experience in real estate lending preferred
- Familiarity and proficiency with computers required.
- Eligible to be registered as a Mortgage Loan Originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System.
