As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the clinical team by performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. Your responsibilities will include answering phone calls, checking in and out patients, calling for appointment reminders, scanning documents, and assisting with various clinical duties. You will be integral to ensuring smooth office operations while delivering an outstanding experience to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming phone calls in a professional, friendly, and timely manner.
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring that all necessary forms are completed and information is accurate.
- Check out patients, schedule follow-up appointments, and ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
- Make outgoing calls to remind patients of upcoming appointments and assist with any scheduling needs.
- Scan, file, and organize patient records and other related documents.
- Assist the clinical team with various tasks, including rooming patients, preparing examination rooms, and other duties as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing their questions and concerns.
- Work collaboratively with a supportive team to ensure optimal patient care and office flow.
- Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized office environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional healthcare-related education or training preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical office, patient care, or customer service role is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with patients and team members in a positive and professional manner.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to new processes and technology.
