Monitoring and Evaluation Intern
Overview - The Criminal Justice Analytics Team is seeking an intern to assist with the monitoring and evaluation of DHS programs for individuals involved in the criminal justice system.
Responsibilities
- Develop tools to assess programs against key performance indicators during implementation.
- Create evaluation plans to measure program impact post-implementation.
- Collaborate with DHS and providers on best practices for monitoring and evaluation.
- Contribute to developing metrics for program fidelity and outcomes.
Skills Required
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau preferred) and basic SQL knowledge.
- Preferred background in program evaluation, causal design, and statistical analysis.
- Additional experience in project and stakeholder management is a plus.

Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the submission of complex written proposals.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts across DHS Program Offices.
- Edit contributions into a cohesive document.
- Ensure compliance with funding organization requirements.
Skills Required
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or related fields.
- Excellent writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word; grant writing experience is a plus.
