Position

G. E. Peters Adventist School is seeking a Physical Education Teacher / Athletic Director who will promote physical wellness and foster a love for fitness among our students.

Duties

Develop and implement comprehensive physical education curriculum tailored to different age groups
Conduct engaging and interactive physical education classes that promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition
Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their physical development
Organize and supervise sports activities and events
Collaborate with colleagues to integrate physical education with other subjects for a well-rounded educational experience
Monitor and maintain sports equipment and facilities to ensure safety and functionality

Qualifications

Experience working with children in an educational setting.

Passion for educating and inspiring students to lead active and healthy lifestyles

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.

Ability to constantly monitor the safety and well-being of students.

Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.

Excellent MS Office, verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Education, or related area.

Prior teaching experience preferred..

Must be a member of the SDA church in regular standing

Must obtain clearance through required background checks and child protection training
