Job Description Summary :
Assigned to work on the surface area of the UG Mine operating mobile equipment and performing other tasks in the supply yard. Responsible for operating within safety guidelines in an efficient and productive manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report on time as scheduled
- Exhibit a positive attitude and effectively work with others
- Perform Surface Utility work (per Allegheny Met training guidelines)
- Perform assigned duties safely and competently
- Maintain and utilize proper safety equipment and apparel
- Perform pre-operational equipment checks
- Frequently check roof and rib conditions in work areas
- Check cables and haulage way
- Maintain all training and certifications as required by the company and / or state and federal law
- Practice good housekeeping
- Be aware of surroundings and other employees
- Correct and / or report all safety hazards
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
