Construction Estimator – Concrete Subcontractor
Location: West Palm Beach, FL

As an Estimator at Allegiance Group, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our clients’ concrete projects across Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Okeechobee Counties. You will collaborate closely with clients and their representatives, ensuring that technical specifications align with industry standards and project feasibility. Your responsibilities will include developing accurate job estimates, conducting site visits, and evaluating bids to ensure all projects meet budget and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive and accurate job estimates for major concrete projects.
- Study proposals, blueprints, and specifications to determine labor, materials, and time requirements.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits to assess the project scope.
- Perform blueprint reviews and take-offs to ensure accuracy in estimating.
- Solicit bids from subcontractors and assess subcontractor pricing for consistency with project requirements.
- Review subcontractor bids to ensure compliance with bid documents and plans.
- Calculate costs for labor, general conditions, and materials.
- Work with clients to align project budgets with plan details, materials/finishes alternatives, and construction methods.
What You’ll Need:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of estimating experience, with a strong focus on concrete projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Expertise in estimating across various project stages, including Conceptual, Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction documentation.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with estimating software, especially On-Screen Take Off and Excel (preferred).
