Allegiance Group Pursuant (AGP) is seeking a detail-oriented, resourceful, and solutions-driven Production Manager to join our fast-paced, collaborative team exclusively serving the non-profit industry. This role is responsible for end-to-end management of direct mail projects, from sourcing and estimating to final delivery. Key Responsibilities
Production Management & Delivery
- Manage the full lifecycle of print production direct mail jobs
- Create production schedules, prepare estimates, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of projects
- Review and validate creative specs, layouts, and proofs to meet brand, quality, and postal standards
- Collaborate with internal teams (creative, strategy, account, data) and external vendors to align deliverables
- Prepare RFQs and lead competitive bidding processes to identify the best vendor solutions
- Maintain strong relationships with print vendors, lettershops, and data processing partners
- Oversee vendor performance, execute quality control measures, and travel for press checks as needed
- Negotiate rates, timelines, and manage all vendor communications and contracts
- Monitor compliance with USPS regulations and industry best practices
- Maintain knowledge of innovations, technology trends, and new vendor capabilities
- Partner with finance and internal teams on budgeting, forecasting, and cost reconciliation
- Track actual costs against estimates and provide accurate reporting and documentation
- Manage purchase orders, invoices, postage requests, and cost summaries in accordance with company policy
- Act as the liaison between account, creative, and vendor teams to ensure seamless communication
- Educate and advise internal stakeholders on production processes, postal options, and cost-efficient formats
- Hold teams accountable to production timelines and escalate risks proactively
Required Experience & Skills
- 3 years in print production, direct mail production, or related fields
- Strong knowledge of offset and digital printing, VDP, finishing, and USPS requirements
- Experience in lettershop operations, data processing, and prepress management
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and relationship-building skills
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and production tracking tools
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel for press checks and vendor visits as needed
- Agency or marketing firm experience highly preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Design, Communications, or related field
- Experience with sustainability and compliance best practices in print production
