Construction Project Manager (Commercial / Residential)
Location: Sarasota, FL
Salary: $130,000-$140,000
I’m currently looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager with strong commercial project experience within residential housing/builds to join a well respected GC firms operations based out of Sarasota. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional who is looking to really take the reigns and take on a leadership role overseeing a range of exciting construction projects from start to finish.
This role involves overseeing all stages of the construction process, managing senior subcontractors and leading initial planning and scheduling to project close-out. You’ll be a very meticulous and organized Project Manager who will use their strong skills in communication and scheduling to stay ahead of project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of construction projects, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality targets.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Ensure all project activities comply with contractual obligations and specifications.
- Identify and manage potential risks, resolving issues as they arise to keep projects on track.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, progress reports, and change orders.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including clients and senior management.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of commercial residential build projects
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Procore, Buildertrend, or similar software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards.
- Experience working in high-pressure environments and delivering results.
- PMP certification is a plus but not required.
