A rapidly growing General Contractor that house a great culture and work/life balance alongside large scale complex projects need a Senior Project Manager to lead a team of 7 Project Managers, APM’s & Project Engineers on a range of healthcare construction projects including new builds and renovations for hospitals, medical facilities & clinics ranging from $5M-$40M.
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll have hands-on expertise working within a General Contracting business delivering healthcare focused projects ($5M ) and be responsible for schedules, subcontractors, trades, interfacing with stakeholders and succeeding in building long-term relationships that result in new or repeat business. You will oversee the successful delivery of this transformative healthcare projects from inception to completion.
This includes managing timelines, budgets, and ensuring all projects meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. There are several core projects including the addition of new patient care areas and advanced medical facilities, aiming to improve healthcare delivery in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a major construction build project within the healthcare sector, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Track all significant project information using software systems such as Trimble Construction, Primavera P6, Excel, Microsoft Teams
- Oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle, including design, procurement, construction, and handover.
- Work closely with stakeholders including healthcare providers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring efficient resource management and cost control.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying potential risks and implementing effective solutions.
- Manage and lead project teams, including subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring they meet the required standards and deadlines.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental policies are adhered to throughout the project.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, ideally within the healthcare/medical sector including hospital renovations.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare construction, including specific building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent project management skills, with experience in managing large, complex projects ($5M )
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
