Furnace Operator
Job Summary :
The Furnace Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining industrial furnaces used in metal processing, manufacturing, or heat treatment. This role ensures efficient furnace operation, maintains safety standards, and follows production specifications to achieve high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities :
- Set up, operate, and monitor furnaces according to production requirements and safety regulations.
- Load and unload materials into the furnace using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Adjust temperature, pressure, and other settings to ensure optimal furnace performance.
- Inspect materials before and after heat treatment to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain accurate records of furnace operations, temperature readings, and processing times.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on furnaces.
- Follow safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow.
