Job Title : Lead Machine Operator – Direct Hire (Packaging Facility)

Location : Westside of Indiana

Job Type : Full-Time, Direct Hire (Not a temporary position)

Pay : Based on experience and skill set

Shifts Available :

2nd Shift : Monday - Friday, 2 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM
3rd Shift : Monday - Friday, 10 : 00 PM - 6 : 00 AM
Training Schedule : All training will be completed on 1st shift (Timeframe may vary)

Job Summary :

Allegiance Staffing is hiring a Lead Machine Operator for a direct-hire opportunity at a packaging facility on the Westside of Indiana. This role requires hands-on experience with machine operation, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle production paperwork efficiently. Candidates must have team lead or supervisory experience to effectively coordinate operations on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities :

Machine Operation : Set up and operate folder gluer machines to produce folding cartons and packaging products.

Quality Control : Conduct visual inspections and use quality instruments to ensure all packaging products meet customer specifications.

Machine Maintenance : Perform minor maintenance, including oiling, lubricating, and troubleshooting machine parts.

Safety Compliance : Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Team Leadership : Work closely with assistant operators and team members to ensure efficient production.

Troubleshooting & Downtime Reduction : Identify and resolve machine malfunctions to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.

Qualifications :

Experience : Minimum of 2 years' operating folder gluer machines (Bobst or equivalent brands preferred).

Leadership : Previous team lead or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or packaging facility.

Technical Skills : Ability to read standard and metric tape measures, follow production blueprints, and operate packaging machinery.

Physical Requirements : Must be able to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and perform repetitive tasks safely and efficiently.

Education : High school diploma or GED required.
