Summary
The Reliability Analyst is responsible for monitoring the performance and effectiveness of Allegiant Air’s aircraft reliability and effectiveness of Allegiant Air's maintenance program; through data mining, and data analysis and reporting on aircraft systems and components.

Minimum Requirements
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative field such as statistics, engineering, business analytics, information systems, or aviation management.
Years of Experience:
Minimum one (1) year experience in airline operations.
Preferred Requirements
• Ability to research, gain knowledge, perform analysis independently, and produce results.
• Strong MS Excel (including pivot tables, charting and graphing capabilities) spreadsheet and Access (or similar) database skills, and proficient with other MS Office Suite products and Adobe Acrobat.
• Knowledge of Statistics, and performing root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with AC 120-17A Maintenance Control by Reliability Methods, and MSG-3 based Aircraft Maintenance Programs.
• Experience with programming languages, including Python and VBA.
Job Duties
• Maintain compliance with Allegiant Airline’s Airlines RPM and FAA requirements for the D074 Reliability Program on an ongoing basis.
• Coordinate with OEM (Airbus and component vendors) for reliability data reporting.
• Perform data collection, validation, and classification on data elements required by the Reliability Program and determine appropriate action to be taken.
• Perform root cause analysis on data to measure aircraft/fleet performance for safety, reliability, and economic impact, and identify deficiencies in the Maintenance Program.
• Analyze and evaluate PIREPs, delays and cancellations and component performance data to measure aircraft performance for safety and economic impact.
• Prepares and presents overview of statistical data, as well as, performance and analysis of trends and findings.
• Control, update and monitor data used for the Chronic Discrepancies and present new and updated items as needed to relevant stakeholders.
• Interface with Business Intelligence and create data models and create reports using data visualization tools like Tableau.
• Maintain a Trend and Alert Reporting database and filing system. This involves review of Pilot Reports and mechanical interruptions on a regular basis for trends and review of aircraft systems and components on a monthly basis for performance standard excellence.
• Review of vendor tear down reports for overhaul and repair findings and maintaining a tear down database and filing system.
• Assist engineering and other departments in coming up with solutions to negative reliability trends by analyzing service bulletins, service information letters and other manufacturer’s documents.
• Maintain a Mechanical Reliability Report database, report filing system and FAA reporting.
• Maintain a Service Difficulty Report database and filing system and accomplish FAA reporting.
• Analyze maintenance and inspection intervals and make recommendations for interval adjustments. This includes:##Evaluation of aircraft systems and components to determine if inspection intervals need to be adjusted.##Evaluation to tear down report findings to determine if maintenance frequency needs to be adjusted.##C-check evaluation or work orders to identify areas needing improved maintenance or inspection.##Evaluate and report on engine trends using the engine trend monitoring program.

May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24 hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
