Overview
Job Summary:
The Senior Systems Analyst will work across a portfolio of applications supporting enterprise level business functions within Allegis Group and its operating companies. They are responsible for managing strategic relationships with business stakeholders and consulting with the business to understand their needs, objectives, and goals. They are an intermediary between the business and technical teams working to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into user stories and design from which solutions are developed. Responsible for defining – and anticipating - business needs for new and/or enhanced products, services, or optimized business processes. They will serve as a primary IS point of contact for the business partners / product owner and must be prepared to navigate through complex issues and drive teams towards solutions. They are able to act as mentor and/or Team Lead for one or more junior Business Analysts and Product Owners.
Candidates local to the Maryland area are expected in office 2-3 days per week

Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Identify, analyze, and document business problems with defined scope of activities required to address the issues, including requirement definition, process review, impact assessment and operational streamlining where appropriate.
- Involved in all aspects of projects, including documentation of project needs, analysis/research of needs and possible solutions, identifying technology and business solutions, gathering, documenting and updating business requirements; reviewing workflow process mapping; developing business testing strategies and working with project members to execute the test plan, recommending preferred solutions, and implementing recommendations.
- Manages project documentation (core artifacts, issues log, process maps, etc.) and documents process flows and gaps
- Assess, research, analyze and document sponsor/stakeholder needs
- Develop and maintain strong relationship with business partners and internal/external team members
- Identify issues and escalates/manages resolution as required. Coordinates and provides support to the business with the process implementation
- Participate/Lead Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Scrum Meetings and other agile activities
- Analyze and translate functional and non-functional business requirements into project specifications
- Assist with Product Backlog management and user story development and prioritization
- Work with the Agile teams that support Salesforce, DocuSign, and Bullhorn
- Partner with our technology teams to establish Features and User Stories to deliver prioritized initiatives
- Ability to take complex business requirements and break them down into actionable user stories for our developers
- Actively participate in discussions and design sessions regarding platform, data, user access, and systems integration requirements
- Ensure that defined solutions include the details needed to successfully implement, operationalize, and support those solutions in a fast-paced production environment
- Partner with Technical Teams, Quality Management, and Business to verify solutions solve the business need and function as intended
- Interact with IS Management to determine system requirements
- Experience in design and development of software systems/applications
- Engage in Implementation of software systems applications
Supervisory or Management Responsibility:
- May have supervisory responsibility at the team lead level. Will coach and mentor junior team members to advance overall team skillset.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and/or Experience:- BS/BA degree in a related field and/or comparable industry related experience required.
- Advanced degree preferred
- PMI-PBA or equivalent certification preferred
- 10 years of related industry experience working with a development / IS team, preferably in an Agile environment
- Minimum of 3 years, in Salesforce Sales/Service/Community Clouds preferred
- 5 years of equivalent professional experience that includes: 3 years administering CRM systems/tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio
- Collaborative team player. Collaborate with IS management, product owners, as well as business and technical stakeholders to understand and translate our customers' business and technical requirements.
- Critical thinking / problem solving. Act as the subject matter expert assisting the product / project teams in modernizing a wide range of enterprise applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Write clear and well-structured user stories and will be able to resolve conflicts and issues using different tactics to avoid escalation.
